Bigger Booths, not bigger budgets!

You don't need silicon valley to run your three TVs.

Note: due to NDA's the names of the companies have been changed.

When pharmaceutical company Pillzer needed a 10 x 15ft booth at a trade show in a major city, they couldn't figure out why their budget was in the tens of thousands. Their idea of 3 TVs with synchronized content sounded simple, but why did they need a network and small TV studio to play back the content? Why did the union have to charge 100s per hour to put the TVs on some stands? And their pre printed back drop would only be useful for one event, after which it had to be thrown out (which, guess what, also comes with a fee).

BEL was brought in and through green booth design, and contract loopholes, we got the budget in check.

The first major hurdle was the union. Any trade show items that required a tool to assemble mandated that union labor be hired. BEL knows from experience that there are plenty of snap lock stage pieces that can make walls and tvs appear without tool use, and just like that, the union requirement went away.

By using spandex walls and hanging posters, we designed a clean and attractive booth that generated minimal waste, therefore negating the disposal fees, and created a booth that could be reused in the future.

And as for the TVs, a competing AV vendor was trying to sell an expensive set of synchronized video servers which would have been necessary... if the video content was hours long. However, it was a 1 minute video, and a custom built laptop by BEL was provided to send three synchronized video signals out using stock software.

Our client's bill was reduced by 80%, saving them thousands, and now they have to budget to attend more trade shows than was previously possible.
